HOW APPLE PRESSING WORKS AT DUNHAM APPLES

SUBMIT AN EQUIRY

To get started, complete our online enquiry form, providing your name, contact details, and the estimated kilos of apples you plan to bring.

BRING YOUR APPLES

Once your enquiry is submitted, you’ll receive instructions on when to drop off your apples. We typically recommend Saturday or Sunday drop-offs for your convenience.

PROCESSING

Upon arrival, your apples will be weighed. If you bring 100 kilos or more, your apples will be pressed and bottled as a separate batch, ensuring you receive the exact yield from your harvest. For smaller quantities, your apples will be combined with others to create a blended juice or cider.

BOTTLING

For every kilogram of apples, you can expect to receive approximately 750ml of juice or cider.

If you opt for juice, we offer bottling with or without labels:

  • 750ml Juice with a label: £2.45 per bottle + VAT

  • 750ml Juice without a label: £2.35 per bottle + VAT

For cider, bottles come in 750ml or 500ml sizes:

  • 750ml Cider: £2.40 per bottle (unlabelled) + VAT

If you prefer to receive the full yield of cider from your apples, the cost is £2.40 per unlabelled bottle + VAT. Alternatively, if you’d like to enjoy the cider at no cost to you, Dunham Apples will take 50% of the yield, with the remaining bottles returned to you.

COLLECTION

Once your juice or cider is ready, we’ll notify you to arrange pickup. Juice is typically ready within a week, while cider, made from dessert or culinary apples, requires a minimum of 9 months to mature. It’s important to collect your order within two weeks of notification; otherwise, a storage charge of £25 + VAT per week will apply.

FAQS FOR DUNHAM APPLES PRESSING SERVICES

  • Is there a minimum order value or quantity required?
There is no minimum order value; however, the amount of juice or cider you receive will depend on the quantity of apples you bring. Smaller quantities may be blended with other batches, but the pricing remains consistent per bottle.
  • How do I know if my apples are ripe?

  • What happens if I have less than 100kg of apples?
If you have less than 100kg, your apples will be combined with others to create a blended batch. You’ll receive the equivalent amount in juice or cider.
